Cerulean City

A bright town built on and around water, laid out across several small islands linked by low arched bridges. Canals of clear blue-green water run between the buildings, walled in cut stone with mooring rings set into them. Houses have white rendered walls and deep blue tiled roofs, and many have steps leading directly down into the water. A large circular structure with a domed glass roof stands near the centre, its walls part glazed so the pool inside is visible from outside. Willows lean over the canal edges, trailing branch tips on the surface. Planters of blue and white flowers line the bridge parapets. Wide flagstone quays run along the main channel, wet and dark near the edge. A river enters the town from the north in a shallow weir of white water. Reflected light ripples constantly on the walls of the lower storeys. The whole place is clean, bright and full of moving water.
