Where to find Pokemon
Encounters by place, method and time of day; the five rarity tiers; the daily cap.
In short
- Every location page on this site lists what lives there, by method and time, with the odds.
- Three hunting methods, Walk, Surf and Fish, each with its own pool. Surf and the rods come from quests.
- Five rarity tiers. Common is most of what you meet; ultra rare is about once a week for the busiest players.
- You can meet 1,500 wild Pokemon a day. Then the dial stops until midnight.
Reading a location
Each location page lists its encounters grouped by method, with the time of day each appears and its share of the roll. The Atlas in the game shows the same per place, and a species' own page lists everywhere it is found. More than 850 species appear in the wild somewhere in Horos; the rest come from evolution, breeding, quests and trades, and each species page says which.

Methods
Walk is the grass, the cave floor, the forest. Every route has it.

Surf opens the water of every route that has any. It is a quest, the Water Test at Almadía's slipway, and it needs a Water type of around level 15 in the party to pass. Until then the Surf button on the dial tells you where to go.
Fish needs a rod. The Anglers' Society gives the Old Rod at the Carp Ponds, the Good Rod on Willow Isle and the Super Rod on Isleta, each for a quest. A better rod reaches everything the lesser ones do and more; a location's fishing rows say which rod they need.
Time of day
The world runs on the server's clock in three buckets: morning from 05:00 to 09:00, day until 17:00, night until 05:00. Some species appear only in one or two of them, and the location page and the hunting panel both show which are out of their window right now. The artwork changes with a fourth, evening, bucket, but the encounter tables do not.

Rarity
Every encounter is rolled in two stages: first which tier, then which species within the tier, evenly among the species of that tier that are reachable here at this hour with your method.
| Tier | Share of encounters | How often, for a player at the cap |
|---|---|---|
| Common | the remainder, about 77% | most of the day |
| Uncommon | 20% | hundreds a day |
| Rare | 3% | a few dozen a day |
| Very rare | 1.5 per 1,500 | one or two a day |
| Ultra rare | 1 per 10,500 | about once a week |
A single species' odds are its tier's share divided by how many species of that tier are reachable in the place. Three rares in one location are 1% each. If a tier has nothing reachable at the moment, the roll falls to the next tier down rather than being rerolled, so an empty rare tier never inflates the ultra rare one.
Tiers are set by lore, not by stats: the base forms of the pseudo-legendary lines are very rare, their final forms ultra rare, and nothing wild is gated behind a badge or a quest. Everything on the map is reachable from the first day.
The daily cap
You may meet 1,500 wild Pokemon a day, counted across every place and method, resetting at midnight on the server. The hunting dial shows "Done for today" and the time until the reset. Between encounters there is a short cooldown of fifteen to twenty-five seconds.
