Is it free?
Yes, entirely. Nothing is for sale, there is no advertising, and there is no premium currency. It is a non-commercial fan project.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in a browser, on a phone or a desktop.
Which Pokemon are in it?
All 1,025 species are in the database. Which of them you can currently catch in the wild depends on the region — Kanto is the launch region, so the wild encounter tables cover its roster. Everything else is obtainable by evolving or trading.
Which generation's mechanics?
Generation 9, plus Mega Evolution and Z-Moves. Type effectiveness, abilities, held items, status conditions, priority and the damage formula follow the games.
Can I play in Russian or Polish?
Yes. The interface and the game's own text are both translated. You can also set the game's data language separately from the interface language, if you would rather read Charizard than a translation of it.
I found a bug. What do I do?
Report it through the contact form. Reporting a bug has never cost anybody their account; using one to gain an advantage has — see the Game Rules.
Can I have more than one account?
No. Additional accounts used to funnel items or Pokemon to a main account are treated as one offence across all of them.
Can I sell my account, or buy Pokemon for real money?
No, in both directions, and it is one of the few offences that is permanent on a first occurrence.
I lost my password.
Use the reset link on the sign-in page. If you signed up with Google, use "Continue with Google" instead — an account created that way has no password to reset.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from your profile. Read the Privacy Policy first: the account is anonymised rather than erased, because some of its records belong to other players too, and it cannot be undone.
Is my data safe?
Passwords are stored hashed and cannot be read back, by us or by anybody who obtained the database. The full picture is in the Privacy Policy, and what you can do to protect your own account is in Account Security.
